Your holiday or break at Gurnard Pines provides an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful Isle of Wight.
FUN FOR THE FAMILY
When it comes to beaches you'll be spoilt for choice. The Isle of Wight has miles of safe, sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and beautiful bays; the coastline really does have something for everyone. The Island's many lively resorts boast plenty of holiday activities, including crazy golf, ice skating and ten pin bowling, as well as a zoo and nature attractions, a dinosaur museum and a pleasure park. If you are looking for something more peaceful the Island has many secluded bays, great for shell collecting and exploring rock pools.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
If you enjoy the great outdoors the Isle of Wight has a network of over 55 miles of public rights of way - in fact there as more footpaths, public bridleways and cycle ways than there are public roads. Almost half the Island is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so you don't have to venture off the beaten track to find breath-taking scenery and fascinating flora and fauna.
SPANNING THE CENTURIES
The Isle of Wight is renowned for its rich and varied history. There are castles, museums and elegant houses to explore, covering every period from the Prehistoric Age to the Victorian Era. You can join a guided fossil hunt to one of the Island's many renowned fossil sites, visit medieval Carisbrooke Castle, or Queen Victoria's favourite holiday home, Osborne House, and there are many beautiful parks and gardens.
