Gymnastics for under 6's

Developed by British Gymnastics, the "FUNdamental Movement Ideas for Early Years" scheme has been designed to help young people enjoy physical exercise.

The emphasis is on fun, and our "Funky Cat" character and his family introduces a wide range of phsyical activities based around 16 different themese. Designed for children from walking up to 6 years, the activities will help children to learn basic movement skills with the experience of managing their bodies, and incorporates the pleasure of moving and listening to music.

The main aim of this FUNdamental programme is for children to learn that movement and activity is fun and enjoyable. This will encourage children's interest in all types of sports and will lead to healthier active children and fitter adults.

Adult and child themes: Countryside, Forest, Healthy Eating, Park, Shopping, Toy Box, Weather, Party
Child independent themes: Adventure Park, Castle, City, Magic, Travel, Seaside, Storyland, Party

These are not childminding activities and parents are required to stay with their children throughout.
