About Gurnard Pines

Set within 55 acres of private woodland, a short stroll from the beach and moments from the lively yachting capital of Cowes, Gurnard Pines is the leading provider of self-catering family holidays and short breaks, leisure club membership, family activities and is an established and trusted events venue.

We are an independently run, privately-owned holiday resort welcoming over 3,000 families this year for a short break or holiday on the Isle of Wight. Our holidays offer the freedom and flexibility to choose between spending time together as a family, relaxing or taking part in sports and leisure activities.

Due to our goal of continuing product innovation to meeting changing customer trends and aspirations, Gurnard Pines has formed a partnership with active leisure specialist In2action to provide high quality sports activities and tuition to families. This partnership includes Gurnard Pines providing market leading residential accommodation for schools and youth groups on In2action breaks, staying in our seperate and secure Adventure Village.

Gurnard Pines has long been marketed through leading self-catering provider Hoseasons, although 2010 sees the start of a new strategic partnership to promote active leisure holidays for families through the new Go Active breaks product. Gurnard Pines is a founding partner and one of the five flagship adventure parks in this collection. Go Active has been designed in partnership with Sport England and national sports governing bodies, and is endorsed by the Government's Change4Life campaign - the only holiday park sports product currently approved.

Whilst Gurnard Pines is a holiday park, our model is based toward the standard and range of accommodation, facilities and activities experience on continental holiday parks than the traditional UK holiday park.

> UK Tourism Award
Gurnard Pines holds a 4 Star rating for our self-catering Holiday Homes, a measure of the level of quality and experience you can expect during your holiday. This award is assessed annually.

We have held the Silver award for a number of years until we were awarded the highest accolade of a Gold award in 2009. All areas of our environmental policy are covered in a detailed audit and site inspection including recycling, use of natural resources, planting and grounds maintenance, reducing our impact on the environment and neighbours, and helping our visitors to discover our natural environment through wildlife intepretation boards, guest information and promoting lower carbon emissions.

We are also members of Tourism South East representing and developing tourism in our area, the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Tourism and Industry, as well as the British Holidays and Holiday Parks Association the industry body representing holiday parks. We are also active members of the Isle of Wight Exhibition Partnership, promoting Isle of Wight tourism alongside like-minded partners in locations around the UK.
